New 2013 dyna vs FXR -handling
So alot is said of the FXR's superior handling and how it is probably the best performance Harley that HD has ever put out. How would a 2013 dyna (street bob) fair against a FXR in handling/performance? I am trying to decide wether to buy a new dyna or search for a old FXR. Kind of worried about buying a older bike though. Will mostly be doing alot of freeway riding. Thanks in advance!

This really depends on what kind of rider you are, most people don't push their Harley hard enough to tell the difference.. Freeway riding, I'm sure the Street bob handles fine enough..
If you are an aggressive rider capable of pushing a bike to it's limits in the twisties the FXR's will absolutely stomp any Dyna including FXDX and certainly a 2013 Street Bob hands down no comparison!!
You can't make a Dyna hang with an FXR with any amount of mods period, night and day...

Then by all means, get an FXR... The only problem with FXR's is that they will not finance a bike that old so you have to cash the bike out, then spend another grip of cash making it right after purchase because of the age of them..
So, pick up an FXR with a strong motor for 5 grand, then upgrade the suspension and customize it for another $2500 and you will have a bike that will handle way better than a 2013 Street Bob for half the price..
Plus your $7500 FXR will have more equity than a 2013 bike that loses 4 g's driving it home..

if your talking about both stock, the 2013 would be mainly because of the 6 speed over the 5 speed. but with minor engine work, the fxr is just as good if not better.
