Default replacing exhaust studs, new studs or bolts?

Two exhaust studs came out when I took off my old pipes. The flange nut was rusted on them pretty solid. My question is should I replace them with new studs or just replace all with bolts??? Pros and cons of each? Thanks.

I would go with studs. Just for the simple fact there will be less wear and tear on the threaded holes in the head when snugging down the exhaust flange. With the stud, the turning force and friction is applied to the stud/nut, instead of the threaded holes in the head like with a bolt. Also less of a chance to cross thread the head.

Good advice- don't use bolts. The factory wouldn't go through the extra expense of using a stud with 2 different thread pitches if a simple bolt would work.

New studs and use anti seize on them so that the nut will not rust to the stud. Red loctite on the studs. I have had this happen on both of my bikes.
