Default Fender fit up FXDX / finished

Well its been a year and a half in the making. I never liked that tailight so I bought a used fender off ebay. Cut the rear light bracket stuff off and welded up the holes and filled the plate mount holes up.
Last night I fit the fender to the bike with the help of a few adult beverages and Robbie13. Had to drill new mounting holes because I slammed the fender closer to the tire. Under the struts I'm cutting the straight part more into a curve. After that fill a few holes, sand, prep and paint.
I was going back this morning looking at what the bike looked like when I first bought it and damn it has changed.

Interesting take on a DX. I prefer the fender sitting super high like it does stock but to each their own. My softail is slammed!

dig it, but how are you going to avoid the rear caliper slamming into the fender? you going to skirt it or shave the underside as well?

cutting a bit of a curve into it under the struts both sides. Sat on the bike and jumped up and down on it and had no clearance issues. But will look into what you are saying for a double check.

I like the slammed look, i agree once you cut the fender side it will flow better.

Also remind me to look at the pipes. Noticed in the picture that they are not perpendicular to each other. That damn OCD
