I was wanting to buy the Bassani Exhaust. But heard rumor of problems like fittment and wrong parts. Can anyone tell me if they were happy or not with their purchase? Thanks.
I should be able to report some info soon, I am going home today and my new Road Rage pipes are waiting for me. I can say it has been nice talking to Kurt at Bassani a couple of times in deciding which pipes to get.
I have the Bassani Road Rage 1D5250 on my Wide Glide. I am very happy with this pipe and sound. There are a few different models of the Road Rage. With the model I have it has never come close to scraping. Like I said very happy and I get many compliments on the look and sound...
I think it depends on what bike you have and what pipe you want. I have the 1D12RB and it doesn't fit quite right on my bike, but it fits perfectly on 06 and newer bikes.
I dig the sound of the Bassani's. My brother has a Road Rage on his, and he didn't have any fitment issues to speak of. It does drag a little on sharp turns, but nothing major.
I have the Bassani Firesweep Turnouts on my 2010 Street Bob and get nothing but compliments on the sound. Make sure you get the right type of gaskets for your pipes. The dealer said regular harley gaskets worked but I had to get the Screaming Eagle gaskets, p/n17048-98 to fit mine.

I had the same thing happen, some Bassani pipes use the stock gaskets and some use the SE flat gaskets. The install instructions should help.
Prostreets on my rig now, intend on going with some road rage later on. I've had the Prostreets on for about 15k, have had no issues with quality. Sound great
