Default Newer Cylinders

Won't do you any good as the 88 and 96 cylinders are the same size bore. The difference is in the stroke (different crank). I have the same bike as you and I had the cylinders bored out to 95 and new cams. With head work, it runs great...

From what I understand, a 96 inch is a stroked 88. Same pistons and jugs. New cylinders and pistons do not come into play until the leap to 103 inches. I wonder if anyone has put 103 jug/pistons on an 88 ?

88 and 96 are the same bore , the difference is in the stroke of the crankshaft... just get cylinders bored to 95" and a new piston

Many times; that would be a 95".

3.750" bore x 4.375" stroke = 96"
3.750" bore x 4.00" stroke = 88"
3.875" bore x 4.375" stroke =103"
3.875" bore x 4.00" stroke = 95"

There is a difference in the pin location to accomodate for the longer stroke of the 96"/103" engines to accomodate for the longer stroke so even though the pistons are the same bore, they will not interchange between with the 88" platform.

Default 103

When the motor company was producing CVO bikes, prior to the introduction of the 96 to 110 CVO bikes, they were all 103 cu in motors.
