I think the FXRT fairing is more desirable.

I prefer the fxdxt fairing. If I wanted the fxrt I would get a bagger.

I like how small my fxdx. which is why I love the great job you did on my fxdxt replica bags.

I have more interest in the fxrt fairing. The fixed fairing is the reason I bought my RG.

My Conely's fairing is pretty smooth and definitely shiny on the inside, FWIW.

truthfully it seems like a bite off of others product. tsport bags, t sport fairing. i think you would be hard pressed to make a fairing at a good price point. thats better than others on the market.

there is a lot of engineering time and trial and error before the product even gets to someones door. so if you started now, how long would it take to get a product that works out to the customers?

Point taken, gartec81. It is true that the bar has been set high. Both on the bags AND on the fairings, from what I understand....

As I see it though, the more options we have for these bikes the better! Competition is good and in the end will create a better product for us, the consumers. I've never seen a company work so directly with its customers to bring to market exactly what they ask for. I'm sure it happens often, just this was the first time I've seen it from idea through R&D, all the way to the final product. We ALL got to on that thread. Pretty remarkable...

Besides, there's not many companies specializing in Dyna accessories. Maybe this could be a good thing.... These guys could be pioneering a new corner of a burgeoning market.

It's true though that this stuff has been done before....

Most FXDP/RT Fairings mount to the down tube and frame stem from what I have seen. I don't thing making a FXDXT retro would be that hard pressed. Shovel out some money for a older beat up one, make a mold fiber glass a new one sand down and paint. You can get a replacement window from Cee baileys and make the rest of it on the fly. I have seen a few people who have made their own, sure the first few may be rough but come on, leatherpros whipped out a bunch of bags quick, as far as the competitions bags, I have still yet to see more that 1 or 2 members rocking them. Same goes for the fairings I have faith in you and your team Garry whether you do FXDXT items or other things.
