I hear ya. All the ones ive looked at on ebay look pretty beat up and incomplete. The ones that are complete go for $1000-1800 on there.

If you're going to make one, an OEM replica that is interchangeable would be best, it fills a void for those with damaged originals or those wanting to retrofit them. This would also allow the use of a number of aftermarket screens or the oem one. As mentioned, Bung King has made a bracket that will fit these to any front end regardless of fork size/narrow, mid or wide glide trees because it uses two universal mounting points..........the headlight mount and the riser bolts making removal a 10 minute job. These are special order items not listed in their products but I wrote and asked for one and it was out the door in under a week. Recently they started making reproductions of the factory mounting brackets - one of which is obsolete and the other will soon follow.

I love that fairing... Looks great on that bike. I'd buy an aftermarket in a heartbeat if someone sold one that bolted on.

Bare minumum is: good wind coverage (not just a $300 piece of plastic that looks cool), direct bolt-on kit with hardware included. Anything else is a bonus.

Detachable hardware would be a neat feature, as well as a headlight solution. I say if you want to toy with your headlight and raise or lower it, that's on you to figure out. If the fairing fit right in the first place we wouldn't have to bother raising and lowering and shaving down edges and what not.

Re-pop RT, RP, RD fairing with the ability to mount on the dyna would be cool!

Sorry but the retro fairings look half assed to me...a "simple" fairing from leather pros will most likely be top notch....

I really was considering the re-pop T fairing but I can't bring myself to spend the cash on something that looks half assed. It may be strong as hell but looks unfinished to me. It's not that hard to smooth fiberglass.

Just be careful - The one making and selling them is Bung King but there is another seller buying from BK and marking them up, even using the BK photos.

I have to agree here, especially after seeing what Garry did with the sport bags.
