Default Your recommended/not recommended Stage 1 A/C Filter

There's many Stage 1 A/C threads out there and I have read most of them and still undecided, so thought I would try to get one main A/C thread for newbees and those interested.

Let us know what you like about your A/C recommendation and if you got something that disappointed you by all means let us know that too.

The basic SE stage 1 breather upgrade is all you need for performance & will get you all the air your engine can handle unless you are building a heavily modified engine.

The second aspect is looks...that's in the eye of the beholder & what looks good on your particular bike.

Third, functionality....how easy is it to maintain, clean, replace the element, etc.

I chose the basic SE stage 1 breather upgrade because I wanted better air flow, but wanted to keep the stock cover, and also wanted to protect the element somewhat. The stock cover protects the element from bugs and road debris better than having an open filter while still giving me all the air I need for the mods I have done.

Happy with my decision.

sharkman pretty much sums it up. Not too much of a performance variance with all the A/C's on the market. It comes down to best looks or best value.

I got a big sucker open A/C for 100 bucks new on e-bay.

You can always check out our A/C Systems, we have a pretty good sized selection for you to choose from and they are a great way to really get your own look to your bike. Check out this LINK to see what all we have to offer.

Lots of people use our faceplates as a platform to get really creative with their design

Keep in mind, we do not sell this with this design on them, that is just an example of what one customer did with our black sano cover in order to personalize his bike.

Thumbs up RE: Air Cleaners

As the gentleman above noted, it's pretty much the look you are going for.

I chose the Kuryakin High Five Mach II in black and chrome. To me, it almost looks like it was designed to accent the black and chrome of the engine. For my bike, which is black, it matches pretty well with the paint too.

I like the air cleaner enough that I put one on both my Super Glide Custom, and my Street Glide.

I went with the Kuryakin high 5 mach2 and it should be in on Monday. It looks good and I hope it compliments the V&H slip on and XIED. I'm not trying to build a killer just helping it breathe better.
