Not sure of the numbers that are having problems but if you do a search on here you will see that there has been several members that have had problems.

 

From What I have heard from Harley Dealers is , Some bearings are just fine, and others fail. As of now there is not a common factor for a cause. They are checking the Lot Records for the Batch runs of bearings to eliminate any possible heat treating issues. The bearing manufacturer has an excellent quality rating. If the retaining clip is installed properly, there should be sufficient lube. Hopefully anyone who needs a bearing can get it replaced without any hassle.
