Ive got 8000 km on it and i started to hear noises in the primary at about 6k. I used whatever they put in till the first service, the dealer put syn3 in all 3 holes at first service, i drained every thing about 500k later. I put amsoil 20/50 in engine and primary and amsoil 75/90 in the trans. Not 100% sure if its the bearing i havnt heard from the dealer yet, i hope i get some news today.

Keep us posted Clay. Was it only the bearing that was forked up in there??

Sure would like to see a picture of the damaged bearing.

He said that it was only the bearing and it wasnt damaged that bad, some of the rollers were pretty scuffed up. I will see if i can get the parts but i suspect they may have to keep them, not sure but ill do my best.

As i suspected Mud they needed to keep the bearing to give to HD. It seems good now, no rats clawing to get out of my primary anymore. I did get to see them and they looked pretty much F%$#ED, i think it was PsTn that showed his when he was rebuilding his engine and well thats what they looked like. Several rollers were really scared up, HD definatley has an issue with these bearings and i imagine in the next year there is going to be alot going back to the dealer to get done.

Clayman, what dealership are you using. I have found the guys at Cariboo in Port Moody to be exellent. Sounds like you are happy with your guys.

Has anyone had probelms with their 07 primary bearing yet? How many May06 and later dyna models have had problems with the bearing?
