My dealer installed my PCIII and mapped it for me, even though I didn't purchase it from them. Didn't make me sign a waiver though. They also advertise being an authorized Dyno Jet Service center.

Still can't believe that people will actually let stealerships touch their bikes, even for the simple stuff! With a little practice, you can change the engine, tranny, and primary fluids, the oil filter, and adjust the clutch and primary chain if necessary in 30 to 45 minutes! I know there are exceptions, but in my experience, the best mechanics DO NOT work for a stealership simply because the stealers won't pay enough to hire them! So, you get cheap-paid employees working on your bike! And just like in this case, they try to feed you a bunch of BS and rip you off! And yet some keep going back....DUH

Just had my Street Bob Dynoed with my PCIII yesterday. Not all dealers are authorized by Dynojet to do Power Commander Tuning.

DA Rooster, I installed a PC111, Arlen Ness Big Sucker, & Kerker exhaust, I took the sensors out and plugged the holes. I Had gotten my PC111 from Jamie and it was already programed. I took my bike to the Dealer and had it Dynoed for $30 bucks, they said the Air/Fuel ratio was perfect. I installed a 103" kit and 255 cams and took it back to the dealer where they ran the bike for 4 hours to re-MAP the bike. It cost me $237., but I picked up 20Hp & 27Tq. If I were you I would call around and find me another dealer because they are around.

I have heard the same complaint about a lot of dealers not wanting to install a non-HD part on you bike. Go to an indy shop.

Most stealer techs are scared of the PCIII because of the O2 eliminaters at least thats what I encountered!

There are two stealerships near me. One has a Dyno, is not, as far as I know PC certified and insists that SERT is the way to go - poo pooing the PC.

The other does not have a Dyno, I believe is PC certified and does not recommend the SERT - go figure. It is really getting harder and harder to find a decent service department at any HD stealership.

I believe there are PC retailers that have dynos and will give you a coupon for a dyno tune at one of the major events that they attend with their portable dyno. That sounds like the deal to me and besides, kinda gives you an excuse to get to Bike Week or whereever.

I had to sign the waiver for the dyno, not because it had a PCIII. If it were a carb bike I would still have to have signed.... basically saying they are not responsible for fooking up my bike while on the dyno
