Default Mother Road Spring Seat

I just couldn't keep my credit card in my pants. My bike isn't even delivered yet, but I bought the the one item that I really want to start making the bike "mine."

Mother Road Customs Spring Seat with black coils. 1" foam upgrade. The picture shows a 12" x 13" but I actually bought the 13" x 15" version which isn't shown on the site.

I'll need to replace my shocks with black (or have the stockers powder coated), but this is a start.

The Street Bob I ordered has a black 103 with black V&H pro pipe and black S&S "Muscle" intake. Black 16" apes and a few other black doodads to set off the Candy Orange paint.

The mont uses four bolts in the frame. No mod required. I bought the optional coils instead of the hairpin springs.

I've ridden a few spring seats. Definitely has a "get used to it" factor, but no issues. I bought the big seat because of some of the bikes I've ridden. I'm not a fan of the narrow style like the HD version. I also don't like the seats with thin padding, hence the gel foam upgrade.

I really dig the pan mount, where did ya find this at? I've been looking for a new mount to put my crossbones back to a spring seat but with scissor springs instead. Just don't want to give any more $$$ to HD if I dont have too!

I'll add my 2 cents here too on the comfort, I've been using a ridged mount seat on my bones for the past 3 years and to be honest the spung seat was 100% more comfortable!! Just get used to sliding off the back of the seat a bit if yer hard on the throttle!!!

Here is the Mother Road Customs site. Nice people. The site is a bit weird, if you don't find exactly what you want, give them a call. For example, I liked the distressed black seat with the thicker 1" foam but the site didn't show it in the 13" x 15" seat. A quick call and I found that they had it in stock and it was dispatched the same day. I'll post pics when it arrives.
