Mud mod air cleaner cut pics
allot of people have been shooting me Pm's asking about how we cut our air cleaners we have been doing for our customers... It is simply the mud mod that Mud showed us on here a while back... only difference is we powder coat them for our customers...
first we cut it out using an air tool
then we clean up the edges on the belt sander till it is perfectly round
we also like to bevel the edges as well so it is a really clean smooth transition
then we powder coat
we have also done this with the weird shaped newer air cleaner as well, the only difference is once cut it does not have the same circumference that the football cleaner does but still looks good none the less

So funny how this thing goes through phases. A couple times a year this style gets all sorts of attention, Mud pulled this out of his *** a few years ago (it might have been WS6 but Mud went into mass production)
I love that it's the best looking AND cheapest (free because it's something you already have) here's some more eye candy. How she sat previously, then after some appliance epoxy.
