Looking good! What's the plan for the seat?

I have a Redtail Leather 10" wide solo seat. I'm making a seat mount for it now. It's going to cover the hole in the top of the frame and provide mounting points for the seat. Going to solid mount the seat with no springs. Suppose to pick up the fender from powder coating this evening I hope. I will post pics of the seat mounting when complete.

Sweet! Solid mount is the way to go with those pan seats. Not to knock anybodies bike but I'm not into the spring seats especially on a springed bike.

Anyway looking forward to seeing the finished pics. I want to do a similar fender but I been holding out for a more "mass produced" option to come out. I may have to take on this project myself.

I'm curious to see your seat mounting hardware. I bought a spring seat (The Mother Road Customs version with a mounting plate/pan.) The concept of foregoing the springs for a hard mount is appealing.

By the way, if your seat mount doesn't come out as planned, check out the Mother Road Custom site. They have a mounting plate that bolts to the four fasteners on the frame. It covers the frame and gap nicely and might work similar to what you are building.

I saw those seat mounts. It's kind of what I'm modeling mine after minus the spring mounting points. I will weld on tabs with threaded holes on that plate then use some small flatbar bent to attach to the seat. Drill holes in that and bolt to my plate. I couldn't find one exactly like I needed so I'm making one and it's much cheaper!

Thank you! Yeah I'm pretty stoked myself! This was suppose to take me a while to do, but the closer I get the more I want to get done.

This is going to be awesome. I really wanna see the seat when you finish it. I've wanted to do this for so long, but I finally found a cool girl that likes to ride!
