I thought it was the very definition of gaudy. Some people like gaudy though. Even though it isn't my favorite style, I appreciate it for what it is, but it IS gaudy ;-)

Actually "gaudy" and "pimped out" are pretty much synonyms are they not?

Gaudy? What is that saying, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Just like women, I like thin women where others might say, too thin, needs to put on weight.

Dictionary-wise.....not as "pimped out" doesn't exist, but in today's lexicon, I would agree with you that the words are synonymous.
