Man thats one bad scoot!
bike is all buttoned up for now, thank god.
so many setbacks on this little mini-build i almost don't want to keep moving forward with the front end.
between delays with powder coating, delays ordering a belt, me going on vacation, then getting sick, it's been almost two months since i started here.
i have gloss black battery and fuse box covers on their way and i'm having joe the powder pro do up some gloss black upper rockers for me, it should all tie in real nicely.
on to the pics...

If you're thinking about de-cluttering the bars, I recall a thread by CountryPunk doing just that.

yeah i read through his thread.
wish i had the ***** to yank all the wiring out of the bike, he did some serious work and it came out awesome!
I'm hoping the wiring is pretty straight forward for what i'm doing, should just need a couple of spacers machined once i get everything buttoned up.
...unless i shave an inch or so off each end of the bars.....
WHERE DOES IT STOP?!

no real updates right now.
got my clutch all adjusted (it was slipping slightly the last time i adjusted it) and took the bike out for a 15 minute shakedown ride and man i love those pulleys!
put on the gloss black battery and electrical covers i picked up from a buddy, and i'm digging the way they look on there. can't wait to get my black rockers on from the powder pro.
just wanted to drop a note about exile cycles. those dudes are AWESOME to deal with. i ordered my grip ace over the phone on thursday. the guy i spoke to took the time to answer all my questions and make sure i was 100% comfortable. he told me straight up they were out of stock on the grip ace units but were expecting them to come in the next day (friday) he made me 100% aware of the fact they were leaving friday at the end of business for a show in italy and if the order didn't make it in friday, i'd be looking at a 2 week wait for them to get back.
he then called me friday at about 3pm their time and made sure i knew that my unit had shipped and i could expect it the beginning of next week!
that's awesome customer service as far as i'm concerned.
so this week's project is to get the front end pulled, swap the trees, drop the ricor intiminators in the forks and bring the front end to the shop to get wheel spacers machined.
while that's getting done, i'll wire up the grip ace.
only question i have is what to do for a brake light switch as stock it's located in the switch housing...

Woohoo!
Everything's in!
Grip ace, exile grips, PM master cylinder...check check and check.
I'm hoping the wiring schematics and directions make more sense when I'm sitting in front of the bike because I got lost, fast. I will say, though, the grip ace instructions are broken down step by step, wire by wire. At least that is inspiring some confidence.
I'm left with 2 questions.
1. How do I tackle my brake light switch problem?
2. The exile grips came with no place to attach the throttle cable...what are my options there? I'd call exile but they're out of the office for 2 weeks as of Friday.

You will need a banjo brake light switch like this: http://www.lowbrowcustoms.com/p2746/...h-3-8-quot-24/
Great job by the way - I have always liked your bike
