i love ups he just dropped off my new andrews tw26 cams along w s&s adjustable pushrods. cant wait to put them in! bad news is my friend who is doin the install said i really should do new lifters with the new cams an also do a new primary chain adjuster kit also. thats another 170 buxs

 

I did the 26's a while back and did new lifters as my bike had 33K on it at the time. It makes sense to do the lifters as you are already in there but it is not a necessity. Would I do it without doing the lifters? Nope. Are you doing adjustable push rods or reusing stock?

I installed the same cams on my 06 wg and didn't replace the lifters. Lifters just don't fail that often. I've got 50k on the cams now and no problems at all. As far as the chain tensioner on the primary, I would open it up and check for wear, it's not hard to get to later on.
