Fat Bob 1/4 fairing prototype

David Roe from HotBike Magazine did an article on the fairing in the January 2014 issue - You can read an unbiased opinion right there. I've had a few tell me the fairing adds stability to the front end at 100+mph, probably because of its bullet shape, and if you're also wondering is if it 'wiggles around' at highway speeds from vibration or road irregularities the answer is 'no'. Its constructed of a heavy gauge urethane, not thin/flimsy ABS plastic so its pretty rigid. David Roe installed 10 inch T-bars on his FatBob and they are right at the top of his fairing. Here's an image of David's.

Dougz Quarter Fairing
Hi, new member today! Just signed up to give a quick update on the DougZ 1/4 fairing discussion. I put one on my 09 Fat Bob two weeks ago and haven't taken it off since...paint can wait. I commute 40 miles round trip every night at interstate speeds, in Kansas that's 80 m.p.h. This is one great fairing! Doug got it right, easy to mount in less than a minute, rock solid at speed and slips a lot of wind. If it seems expensive.... well, you get what you pay for and this was worth every cent. Good job Doug. Now, how about a U-Station style fender for the fat bob so I don't have to try and import one!

The fairings are not offered pre-painted, but preparation/paint instructions are included with the fairing as well as all mounting hardware/mounting instructions. It is against forum policy to include the website where you can find this fairing, but if you look at previous comments you should be able to figure out the name brand of the fairing and Google it.
