I posted this in the Touring forum a few weeks ago and got some interesting feedback.....

If you could take your bike anywhere in the world and do anything you wanted, where would you go and what would you do? I would go to Austrailia and cruise around the outback for a few weeks. Ive always wanted to go there and taking the ol Glide along would make it twice as nice!

 

I'm taking a trip in Feb up to the Blue Ridge Mtns in NC and SC. That's one of the places I've been wanting to ride.

Other than that, am quite comfortable cruising the coast lines of Florida.

I would like to take my bike up to Alaska and ride from Anchorage to Seward. That's a beautiful little run in a van, I'm sure it would be breathtaking on a bike.

 

I am retiring in one year (366 days actually) and am planning a very long trip from Chicago to LA on Rt. 66, then up the Pacific Coast Highway to Canada and then zig sag through Montana, Wyoming, Colorado..... Plan on taking an entire summer for the trip. I will have my golf clubs sent UPS to courses along the way so they are waiting for me at various locations where I will stop and play a few rounds. The following year I'd like to do the Austrailia ourback, but will most likely fly and rent. There are some good group tours I've read about where they provide a Harley and all the accomodations for a 21 day ride.

 

cruise all 50 states, that would include hawaii and pr. no particular agenda just get on the road and start ridin!

 

i'd like to take the wife and bike (not necessarily in that order!) to europe after cruising the great US of A. I spent a coupla years in northern italy while in the army and would love to go back there and show the wife the great sites.

 

Cruise through the Alp's and while I'm in the area make sure to make a swing through the Autobahn

 

Hi boe, I live in Autralia and just arrived home 2 days ago from a 16000klm 5week trip across Australia on my Fatboy. If you ever get the chance get over here and do it, the trip was outstanding, Australia is a bike riders dream.

 

I would ride around the world. Twice.
