Default Looking for 2nd bike opinions from my fellow Dyna owners

So I've decided to buy a second bike instead of a new truck when I return from my upcoming deployment. I need a bike for long rides so I can keep the dyna a hot rod and stop trying to make it do everything. I've narrowed it down to three bikes: Street Glide, Road Glide, and the Victory Cross Roads. I like the looks of the SG the best, but I've heard that the RG is a better ride. The Victory is comparable and supposed to be super smooth in comparison to the other two but lacks the aftermarket support HD has. I haven't ridden any of them but plan to ride all three prior to my purchase. Just curious what you guys think and I know some of you own touring bikes in addition to a dyna.

once i can afford and store it ill be picking up a street glide to take some longer trips. yes the road glide is a better ride but im not a big fan of the fairing. and the victory ive never looked into. so my opinion is street glide.

I would get the RG. Cuts through the wind better plus has better handling since the fairing is fixed. I love those. Hope to have that as my second ride one day.

Depending are where you are deployed you can go through Overseas Exchange Car Sales and get pretty good deals on new Harley's. I am deployed right now and that is what I did. That might help pursuade you to get a harley. We have an office right next to our BX

Yeah I refuse to give my money to the exchange sales program. I've got a dealer that will beat their prices and I'd rather keep my money local. I had two buddies order bikes through them and they were both the wrong color when delivered.

My Dyna is my second bike. Road Glide is my #1. I can put the miles on with my R Glide. It even feels like I can ride my R Glide faster through the twistys. But Iv'e ridden my R Glide about 40k to my Dyna's 2k. I've got the Dyna on the lift doing some mods. Making it tight.

id say rent or demo a street glide/ road glide and see which one you feel more comfortable on. thats what i did and i ended up picking a street glide when the option for a 2nd bike opened up for me

I would recommend demo'ing the bikes before buying ... that being said, I'd lean towards the road glide.
