How Many years of Riding?

RE: How Many years of Riding?
First bike was a 1976 250cc Suzuki 2 stroke street bike that I bought when i was 16. Both me and my father each bought a bike and learned how to ride together. I had a motorcycle before I owned a car. Paid for the bike with my paper route money! Rode for 3 years until I had a couple of friends die, a couple of close calls myself and then got rid of the bike. Never was in an accident, but I didn't like how I was treated by the cages.
Fast forward 27 years and i just bought a co-workers bike in November - 1999 Heritage Classic. Haven't even riden the bike yet and it is still at my freinds house. So...I have had a MC license for 30 years, riden only 3 and now it's time to get back in the saddle. I can't wait for spring. Wish me luck!!!!!

Started riding at 11, 43 now. First bike was a Honda SL100, sort of an "enduro". Man did my dad not know what he started Let's see, had that, a Kawasaki 175, a Kawasaki 250 mx, Yamaha yz 400 (woohoo!), a Yamaha 650 twin then my first Harley, a '77 XLH sporty with no kicker, a bad generator and a trickle charger in my garage. Now I am the proud owner of my '04 WG and happy as hell. There was a 20 year spot in there were Uncle Sam had me and I rode sporadically, but you never forget. Lucky enough to ride a buddy's '89 or '90 WG, can't remember which. Also rode my kid's suzuki gsx-r 600, which was fun, for about 10 minutes while your nuts got crushed by the tank, and your wrists and neck hurt from holding your body up off the tank.
Well, I talk too much but there it is....
