Need Some Advise
I have a 2007 Dyna Street Bob that i just bought 3 days ago. I went on a little ride today and it was good untilI stoped for a while and then I started it up again. the check engine light came on alot and it sputtered thru all the gears. Also when I would come to a stop it would shut off, and was hard to start again. The engine light has come on before on a previous ride. Like i said i have only had the bikeabout 3 days. I know the bike it fuel-injected so i only let it warm up for about a min or so, Do I need to let it warm up for longer? I am going to tkae it to the shop on Tuesday if it will make it. Not really the best tast for a first Harley. Any info would be appreciated.

Same exact thing happened to my '05 1200R last year, one weekout of the box. Dealer found a loose connecter under the seat. Sure it is something simple - I was able to limp to my dealer to get the problem corrected. Can't remember which system was affected; more than likely fuel delivery - paperwork went to the new owner.
Good Luck!!!

The majority of people who have bought these bikes haven't had major problems. It's just when people do, they tend to talk about. I don't think it's any different with any other bike...or car for that matter. Go to a Honda or Toyota message board....these are supposed to be the most reliable cars on the planet. I guarantee you will find a section that deals with problems...and you will find a billion and one people talking about things that go wrong. Harleys are no exception to this rule.
Sorry to hear you're having such a problem with your new ride Williams...do like the others said and get it to the dealer...don't take it back until you know it's fixed.

Of course you hear bad things...because people don't report when they don't have problems. When was the last time someone started a thread that said..."New Harley runs perfectly" ? I've been hearing bad things about harleys since I was old enough to read about them. At the same time, I've heard many good things about harleys too...especially later model harleys...and the fact that mine has been perfect for it's first 18 months is enough for me.

Now then Harley has had a problem with the inner primary bearing , axles and tranny just to name a few . Imagine for one second that a metric bike had the same problems mentioned above ... most HD riders would be calling the bike a pos . But just b/c its a "HD" its ok .
I come from metric bikes ... I wanted a harley as long as I can remeber . I love my harley davidson and if God is willing I will allways own at least one . But come on the moco is dropping the ball if they have this many problems and are not trying to fix it .
