Hello, Can someone take a measure their 06-07 wide glide fork tube for me?
Center of axle to top of the fork tube will do. Interested for future project. Thanks in advance.

The fork pipes are 2 1/2" longer than the other dynas.
Running the WG pipes on my 06 SuperGlide.

Dan -
sorry - no intention to hijack your thread - but I think Mud answered your question.
Hey Mud -
Did you change anything else when you went to the longer fork pipes? If not - how does it ride?
I've made the same change in length, but it's f'n cold here so I have not got it out yet.
One thing I noticed is it leans a lot on the stock jiffy stand - any problems there for you?
Thanks

glide, not sure the intention of your question on changes. Inside the forks,
or do you mean the rear of the machine??
Firsttime I leaned it over on the kStand, I thought momentarily that I had forgotten
to extend it. Heart jumped a beat until the stand touched the ground.
Leans way over. May modify the stand. It doesn't seem to be dangerous.

When I made the change I knew I would need a longer front brake line, but I did not anticipate the change in lean angle - the front is higher so the whole bike leans a lot more and you can actually really see it in the rear - looks like it's goin south - has me a bit nervous. Probably gonna mod my stand as well.
Hows the ride? I'm guessin it turns a little slower but has more clearance?

Mud- Thanks for the response. I notice in your pic that you dropped your trees down the tubes a bit. Do you have a pic with your trees mounted at the top of the tubes. Or doesanyone elsehave a pic? Thanks guys.
One more queston why people are responding? Is the 49mm wide glide any wider in the trees than the '05 or older models?
Thanks again guys.

I have always paid close attention to where I park.
Way back in the 1960s, it was not uncommon to come out and find your machine
laying down because the kStand had sunk thru the hot asphalt.
Only happened to me once, I am a fast learner, except with some wimmen.
Ride is fine, 0-100. Straight, tight turns, nothing to be concerned for me at this time.
And yeah, the jack slides under easily now.

Thanks for the info on the lean - feelin a bit better knowin you are seeing the same thing, and Dan should understand he's going to run into this - so going off topic a bit on his thread will benefit him as well. Post something if you decide to mod the stand, not sure what I'm gonna do.
