Anyone familiar with these bags? I have a 2012 fat Bob and the HD catalog lists these as compatible.

I found a set of these used that I may be interested in, but the part number is 90181-08. Minus the "A".

Anyone know why the 08 bags are listed as not compatible with the FXDF (Fat Bob) and the 08A are?

I don't have the correct answer to your question but yesterday I put a set of -08A bags on my '12 fatbob. Parts guy said it need to be an "a" part number to fit. Don't know that it helps.

 

Look at leatherpro or boss bags better qualtily and made in usa and cheaper

Read that thread. Thanks. Did you ever figure out what the difference was between the two? They look identical. Would love to grab the used bags but not if I can't make them fit!

If it's a question of a missing bracket or mount, I may be able to live with that, if the bags just won't fit no matter what, I can't.
