Default how low can i lower my 07 fxd

I have always wanted to know how low I can lower the rear end of my sg. Without rigid struts is the burly 10.5 shocks about as far as I can drop it without ripping all my wireing out the back???

the burly shock you are talking about is the smallest shock they have as far as i know. lowering shocks is the best way to lower your bike. you can always get drop in lowers springs to go in the front also. i did the progressive 11" shocks on mine an drop in springs. it will give your bike a bad *** look for sure!

Just a warning and you already are thinking about the wires under there....Mine is lowered 2 inches and this is the 3rd time the wires have been rubbed in half by the rear tire.....Im going to try that super sticky stuff harley uses now, if this doesnt work, Im raising mine back up unfortunatly..

If you guys are worried about rubbing wires, you can always route them through the fender strut so that they are out of harms way. As for shocks, I'm not sure that I would go much lower than 10.5s. Never know when you might get drunk and take a fatty home....

Bahahaha mr highhorse i had done it with them 12.5 in shocks.... Did you follow me home from jimbos bar that night???? Lol i never thought of running them through the fender struts thats a good idea. So the moral of the story is run the wires through the fender struts, progressive shocks look awesome with the front drop in, and make big girls walk (they need the exercise). Thanks for the input yall!!!

Uhhhh, . . . It's 2012. We do not use terms like "fatty" anymore! And definately do not call them "Huge Fatties"!!! These people are now referred to as; "Horizontaly Challanged"
