Default Removing tank emblem?

I want to remove my tank emblem without damaging the paint. I see some of you have done it already. Not sure if I should use a heat gun first or just pull them off I don't want to damage the paint.

Heat gun little by little. Work them off show. Clean up the big tape chunks with a plastic scraper and heat gun. Go slow. Then NAPA have edhesive remover or WD40. Take your time. There is no rush.

I did the same as TGWN, but used a little dental floss as a "saw" undearneath the badge after it was heated. I've heard that fishing line works good too.

As said...go slow, very slow. It should take a while to finish the project.

One of mine was falling off already. I just finished it with some fishing line and cleaned the adhesive mess up with some Kroil.

They were on about a year and if the tank gets wet you can still see where they used to be. As soon as it dries, it looks normal again.

I used waxed dental floss, and put Goo Gone on the residue and let it sit for 15 mins, came back and wiped it away.

Yup...Goo Gone rocks. Let it soak...keep patting it on, let it soak in.
Warm the surface
Waxed floss for stubborn remains.

Repeat as necessary...it'll get there after a few rounds.

Hair dryer and fishing string. Remove excess goo with soap and hot water

If your bike has seen a lot of sun, be prepared to still be able to see where the logo use to be...

When I took the reflectors off I was using the fishing line and it kept braking. Then I just pulled it off and that worked great on all four reflectors. But I did not want to try that on the tank.
