Ok dudes, here's what it actually took......I moved the speedometer and tachometer forward using 2.5" spacers and mounted them directly above the eyelid. It looks great but I may eventually mount them on the risers.

Wiring- I had to pull alot of wiring from the backbone. That's a tough job, but as as tough as putting the **** back. That really sucked. All the stock wiring worked. Nothing had to be lengthened. I had to take the deutsch plugs apart to run the wiring internally through the new bars. No biggie, pretty smooth overall.

Clutch & throttle cables- All three worked at stock length. They just required some rerouting.

Brake line- No chance. way short. Stainless lines would have been awesome, but I don't have the cabbage right now. I removed the stock lines and took them to Hosepower (Industrial hose specialists) locally. They soldered new fittings in place and added six more inches of brake line. All for $50.

Looks damn good. Any issues seeing the gauges? I just put 8" risers on today. Everything worked. Didn't need to replace any lines or lengthen anything. I have my gauges on the handlebar clamp in the stock location. The only thing that was tight was the speedo cable going back to a connector under the seat by the battery. Probably goes to a speed sensor. If I would've went any higher it would've been to short.

my guages were mounted to my top clamp like stock. I clamped my guage bracket in a vice and gave it a little persuasion to put juuust a lil more angle on it so they would sit more upright. The sun glare would sometimes wash em out when riding and also I didn't like looking at the needles from an angle..lol thats just nit picky though, not a real issue

 

The wire cluster coming out the back of the speedometer were short on my 9.5" risers. Which is why I put the speedo and tach on the spacers over the eyelid. I am six foot and the angle is rough for me. I am happy with the way they look mounted, but they are in a serious blindspot for my riding position. I basically have to lean forward to get a clear look at my speed.

I'm gonna do some research and figure out how to get the slack to mount them on the top clamp. Any suggestions?
