Swapped mine for 501 Chubies--dealer covered labor and part of the new bar cost

I would have paid full price for the bars. The labor for tugging the internal wires would have been steep!

Well,

Had mine replaced a good while back.....didn't see any cracks.....was only there a couple of hours and it was done.....waited on it.....had the front motor mount replaced on Christmas Eve and wasn't even there two hours and they washed it....gave the guys in the back $10.00 forChristmas beer.......Javelina in Boerne.........

I think the only difference between the bars being recalled and the replacement bars is the shape of the hole where the internal wiring enters the bars. Someone correct me if I'm wrong on this.

Brian, here is a pictorial comparison of the bars........

06 on the top in both pix.

Revised entrance hole and exit hole are the lower example.
Just changed mine outa couple weeks ago.

Thanks. I had mine changed out towards the end of last year at the dealer under warranty. I noticed my hole is more eliptical like the bars on the bottom in your photos. I had no idea they also changed the hole where the wires come out into the controls.

Thanks for the comparison photo, mudpuddle.
So would yall say the new WG bars are the same as the fat mini apes? I mean, they're both chrome, 1.25", and drilled for internal wiring. I'm just trying to figure outwhy not save$50 and get the stock WG bars...
