Is you dealer closed Monday? A lot around here are but it probably has more to do with the dealer meeting their minimum. I don't know what if they cant order without meeting the minimum or if they have to pay frieght if they don't or what but last time I was in to order a speedometer the parts guy said that would put him over so the order would go in tonight..............so if your dealer doesn't have the volume then that will delay your order.

Try living in Australia dealers can take 6 weeks plus to get parts, yet i can go online and get the same things for 1/3 the price and delivered to my front door in well under 2 weeks,
In the US id expect 48hrs max on any HD parts

They are open all 7 days of the week but you do bring up an interesting point about meeting the minimum.

I ordered a set of risers through my local HD dealer only because i had a gift card. Was told it would be 5-7 days. After nine days i called to find out where they are just to be told(for the first time since ordering) that the parts i ordered were on back order for another month. After getting my money back i went to my local indy and ordered a different set. Took 2 days to get them and half the price i would have paid at the hd shop....and my hd shop sends and receives orders everyday

I think it depends on the volume of parts a particular dealership does. My brother had a Triumph and due to the low volume his dealership did, they were only allowed to order parts one day of the week. If that day was Monday and you ordered parts from them on Tuesday, it wouldn't even be ordered until the following Monday. Plus the part had to come from Great Britain, so he was always waiting on parts.

Obviously there are greater logistical obstacles with Triumph. But I bet Harley does something similar to their dealerships.
