FXDXT Saddlebag rebuild

I agree. Your bags look sick. Also looks like atleast an inch to 1.5" under the bag. Have you put any miles on it? How are they holding up? I'm hopeing my thunderheader gives me enough clearance. I've been waiting patiently for these and I'd hate to send them back and start the waiting all over again.
In regards to your post Garry; The modified bags are looking good. I can't notice a difference. Are you still planning on adding leather wrapped aluminum? Or did you get enough clearance from the adjustment?

So I only put about 25 miles on today in about 80 degrees. No discoloration or damage to the bag bottom or abs. There really wasn't much heat soak though. Until I do an all day ride in 90 degrees I won't know much more. It looks like D&D are a tight squeeze due to tip size. Leather pros tapered tips give a lot of clearance. If anybody on the newer dyna frame has a thunder header let us know the clearance please.

even with the lifted bags I can barley tell the difference. Still look great.

I'm also hoping to get them tomorrow, but since I have a 99 fxdx with a TH it won't be much help here. At least I should have excellent clearance
