The bags are badass quality is top notch, I only have one issue the bottom of the bag is about an 1/8" from the tip of my bag. My shocks aren't the same length as the older dx's.

Garry, what's the temp rating on the abs shield on the bottom?
Ill post a pic in a minute

The quick release sissy bar is a tight fit but it works so the wife is happy lol

That is close. Do you think longer shocks would even change anything? It seems like it would be the same.

I'm running 13" progressive 444 and a thunderheader, hopefully I will have enough clearance... Bags look great though!

Pipe clearence is gonna be an issue for anyone with shorter shocks then a FXDX and after market exhaust since the bags are based on FXDXT bags. The stock bags were designed for stock FXDXT shocks and exhaust, the good part is the bags block the gap between the tire and fender so you guys with short shocks can change them out to FXDX length and not notice the difference except your bikes will handle better with more suspention travel and it will get the bags away from the exhaust just like the Blue FXDX with the thunderheader. Im glad about that because Ive got a 2000 FXDX with a thunderheader.

The length of the shocks wont make a difference.

Yeah I did the same earlier and shocks won't change anything the frame of the fxdx is taller than newer models.
