I'm looking into getting a new rotor for the front. I want something chrome or highly polished..... Anybody have a chrome rotor? Stainless Steel? Whats the ups and downs?

What ya think?

Chrome is likely to peel.

If your stock rotors aren't worn out or warped beyond straightening, why not just polish them out? You can do it in a very short while with a sander and about 5 bucks worth of sandpaper.

It's easy. I use a an attachment that fits in a electric drill and get 3M Hook-It sandpaper from an auto paint supply store. It velcros on the drill head. Start with 320 and go up to 2000 paper. Just sand them. No big deal. Once you master not ripping the paper on the rotors edge, you can sand a side out in 30 minutes or so.....Yes, that is a stock rotor.....After sanding them, I run EBC Kevlar pads. They leave a nice satin sheen on the contact surface instead of the near galling, gouging that the stock pads do.

Donnie,

I've got a Ness rotor for sale if you're interested. Don't know if it'll fit your ride or not. Here's the link: https://www.hdforums.com/m_1052143/tm.htm
