Front end wobble

Front end wobble
I bought a 05 Super Glide for the wife. When I go over 60 mph I get a slight disconcerting wobble in the front end. Not much but noticeable.
Tires are good. Only 3500 miles on them. Everything is stock sofar. I am 6'2" and 275 lbs and squish the front shocks a bit. Could it be a geometry issue with me on it?

Maybe have the steering head bearings checked for proper pre-load too.
Good luck.

Recently I had an issue with two bikes. I found out that the air pressure gauge I had been using was way off. My air pressure was way low. Invested in a good pressure gauge and now many of the issues have disappeared. Hopefully tire life will also be much improved. Go to your tire manufacturer if it is not stock and use their recommended tire pressure. The wrong air pressure in the rear tire can also affect handling. Also check to be sure spokes are tight (if you have them) and wheels are true.

Often times a front end wobble is actually caused by some problem in the rear.
Other than the obvious front end issues such as Fall away adjustment and tire presure some other areas worth looking into are, Alignment of the wheels which if the wobble is more severe especially around left or right curves it may be an indication the rear is out to the right or the left. Next is the Stablizer link adjustment (located at the top of the engine. Next is loose and or worn motor mounts, additionally wheel bearings can cause a wobble that will be felt in the front end, Last but not least is incorrect shock preload which can cause the front end to get light and lose grip when the rear loads excessively and this will be felt as a wobble. There are several other issues that will be felt as a front end wobble but these are the easiest to check.
