Default 2012 Fatbob gas capacity

My understanding the Fatbob has a five gallon tank. I was running on fumes the other day and could only get 3.3 gallons in the tank.

Am I mistaken?

Been discussed quite a bit already cause everyone with a cap gauge has the same issues. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...on-a-tank.html

I set one of my trip meters everytime I get gas. That way I don't have to trust the gauge and I can, in theory, calculate my MPG. I've also got a 2" tank lift which makes the issue a little worse.

Why did you think you were running on fumes. The gauge and the low fuel light both such on my Superglide. Its best to know your average mpg then keep track to the miles you have rode since filling up.

Your tank holds 5 gallons

Wow, sorry.

Should have searched first. Guess this is a common issue!
