Default FXDP fairing mounting question

Does anyone think that a fairing off a KZ1000 (sacrilege) will be able to mount up to and fxdp? A buddy of mine wants the full fairing but does not want to spend the money for the true FXDP fairing. I know anything can be done with the right tools, engineer, and amount of money and time but this friend of mine is looking for the least expensive route. Personally I think that the FXDP fairing would end up being less expensive and work a lot better.

Thanks.

I am not familiar with the mounting system for the fxrp nor what comes on the fxdp but There will be an fxdp here in about a month so we will see what can or has to be done to make this work.

I think the Police Defender fairing looked similar to this FXR fairing ... don't know if it had the lowers, though ... also, the saddlebags on the FXDP have a more 'industrial' / functional look ... Rene (FXD2003Rider) has the Police bags, I think ...

Rene's bike ...

fxdp did not have a fairing but a solid mount windshield that bolted to the frame and engine guard . a fxrp fairing will bolt up with a few bracket mods and so would the chips kawi type fairing
