Cloudy Chrome
I am having an issue with the chrome on my bike. I have been applying chrome polish and washing, but it still doesn't seem to shine and pop like it should. There is also some stains that look like they could be from bugs that don't seem to come off either. Does anyone have any trick to rejuvinate my chrome?

This stuff is truelly amazing. All other metal cleaners are no longer worth my time. Use the powder on a damp cloth and be sure to clean it all off. Cost about $1 for a 10 year supply. http://www.barkeepersfriend.com/
Also work quite well on white walls.

I wouldn't use steel wool on chome unless you're chome is already damaged. Might as well use sand paper to remove bugs.
Chrome is naturally shiny... just clean it with WINDEX and it will pop! I have lots of chrome and that's what works for me.
If you have melted boot spots on the chome, I can see using something easier than scrubbing with cotton and windex.
Some of these suggestions seems to me unnecessary and even possibly damaging. Might leaving microscopic scratches in the chrome which over time will indeed, dull your chrome.

Aluminum foil and water.
[Aluminum is softer than the chrome]
Random link explaining the process: http://www.robertscycle.com/chrome-clean.html
Edit: Once you get it shiny, get it coated with wax to slow the hazing process for next time.
