I like how they handle. My last bike had the same rake, so guess its what you get used to.

that front wheel/tire looks so good. exactly what i've been looking to do. can't decide if i should just buy the rim hoop and relace it to my hub, buy a complete wheel, or pull the trigger and get like a set of DNA's.
I love my Twisted 80 spoke DNA rims. Beautiful and don't take too much time to clean. Yeah they were pricey but I figured it as a one time expense.

I think they handle just great. But then again a WG is the only Harley I have ever owned.
They easily handle the twistys on the BRP as well as cruise all day on the interstate.

Compared to something like a Street Bob they feel a little "heavier" in slow tight turns but only slightly. About the only way to really notice it is to get off of one and get on the other.

On the flip side it gives a more stable feeling at speed. The downside there is the narrow front tire seems to follow small slight irregularities in the road surface a little easier, whereas a wider front tire such as on the Street Bob doesn't seem to be effected as easily. Not unstable or squirrelly by any means, just a slight difference.

My son said he doesn't care for the skinny front tire which is why he went with the Street Bob whereas I like the more raked out chopper look of the Wide Glide yet still being a true HD.

Mike.

Depends on your point of view. Does it make it more difficult if you are just a cruiser? Absolutely not. On the other hand if you are trying to carve twisties you probably won't be as quick through the curves as other bikes.
I added 2 degrees of rake to mine and I have no problem keeping up or out running most Harley riders, but I realize I am riding a Harley and not a sport bike.

Lots of really good looking bikes on here, kudos to all for making your rides your own.

Can I have some info on your pipes you made (awesome by the way)?? Thats what I have in mind for a head pipe I have from a Wide Glide.

This may help, it's actually for the first version I built. New ones are all 3" stainless steel tubing.
