I had my heat shields ceramic coated and they are already flaked, after 50 miles! I am going to redo them in Moly resin, firearm coating, and bake them 15 min on, until cool, then 15 on again for 2 hours. Moly resin works on my full auto guns, so why not heat shields? My barrel is almost 2000* after I dump 500 rounds of full auto through it...and it has held up for 3 years thus far!

check NAPA, they have some Ceramic Paint in the rattle can, i have used it for touch up on my black V&H pipe heat shields and it has held up well. don't see why you could'nt use it to pait the entire heat shield.

Joe, you do some incredibly awesome work. This winter I'm going to have to tear my bike apart and send you a ton of parts.
