Longest ride on a Dyna
How far (miles) has anyone gone on a road trip on a Dyna? Friends want me to meet them in Laconia this year. The trip would be from Louisiana to Laconia. Would I be too wore out even to enjoy Laconia? I always hearpeople talking about other people trailering their bikes to events. I'm sure I would enjoy the ride, but 1,400 miles in a couple days.

Depends on how long you plan to stay in Laconia. I say get a good seat with a lumbar rest (or a saddle roll) and ride it. That way you'll always know and not wonder what it would have been like.

I can get about 600 miles in before I am done for the day. They say if you stop and stretch out every 100 miles for about ten minutes you could do as many miles as you want. We are going to try that this season, we usually go about 140-150 then stop. Not bad but, I think it wears you out much faster.

RE: Longest ride on a Dyna
On the way back from Sturgis in 2004 I did the Iron Butt Associations "Saddle Sore 1000"
1,000 miles in 24 hours or less.
No windshield. Had the Mustang Wide Vintage seat that I bought specifically for the ride. No problems with sore butt, just dead tired.
No issues with the bike. I was told I needed a Bagger to run to Sturgis, that is BS.

I do not use a windshield unless it is raining, might have to use it if rain is going to be in the forecast for the way there or the way back......I do not know why really, it does not help a whole bunch, I still get wet and it is still alittle more difficult to see
