check out some of my old threads - somewhere i have a reference to VXB bearings - sorry at work cant weed through at the moment
i put 08 switchblades on my 07 SB went through the same thing - your right you need the narrower ones and then youll also need to adjust for that in your axle spacers

I don't know if you have the wheels already but it may be easier and definitely better to keep the 1 inch double row bearings. Only '06 & '07 model years had them. If you go to the 25 mm bearings you have to replace spacers and your axle plus it's not as good of a bearing as the double row.

Your best bet would be to just stick with the 25mm bearings and buy the 25mm axle and spacers online from www.surdyke.com. Your current lowers will work with the 25mm parts.
