Handle bar Preference with Batwing?
Looking for ideas, here... Just not lovin' the 10" apes that came on my Street Bob, after a long day at work. My back just gets too tired, of holding itself that straight.
So I've been looking at replacement bars. And while I'd like to try a 4-1/2" high drag bar, like my wife has on her Sporty... I remind myself, that I ultimately want to get a Memphis Shades batwing. Maybe the drag bar would be too low, or not sweep back far enough? I really don't know.
Any suggestions, as to what might be a better fitting bar, to go with the batwing?

I use the stock bars with a 4 1/2" curved riser on mine. That brings the bars
back enough to be comfortable sitting upright with my forward controls and
do not require any changes to cabling.
With 10" apes, you may have extended cables which might need to be replaced
no matter what option you go with.
My Batwing conversion uses HD quick release clamps from their windshields.
Unfortunately, the curved riser is hidden by the fork bag but this may help
give some idea of the over-all positioning.

Pulling them back, actually makes things worse.
I bought the bike, a couple months ago, after riding sportbikes for years. Never had a problem with my back then, but my wrists used to kill me. ( I've kind of traded one pain, for another.) So now I've got to try and see if I can come up with a seating position, with a bit more 'forward lean'.

I understand your concern as I too have been considering a batwing fairing and I'm not sure my mini apes are gonna work without having to roll them back some...which I'm not sure I will like.
