Default wife kit complete

broke down and got a sissy bar setup phor the bike. looked around to phind the bits and pieces i wanted before buying anything. pretty happy with the setup, but it makes me want to ditch the pillion phor a lower profile passenger pad.

anyway, here's pix.

starts out with a removable backrest bracket that mounts to the phender using just the seat screws. no permanent changes like the hd rigid mount or "quick detach" setups. when this thing is off the bike, it's off the bike!

phor the upright, i used a 13 1/2" tall round bar sissy bar, and the pad is the is the stitched one.

all of these parts can be had phrom J&P

if your interested the part# are
backrest bracket - 820-077
sissy bar upright - 8500130
stitched pad - 8000258

I have the same question as HOGRIDA_06 about how sturdy it is.

i think it's real sturdy. course we haven't had a chance to rhode test it yet. when the bar is attached to the bracket, you get basically an L shape. passenger's butt is on the bottom of the L, and that would tend to hold it down when leaned back on. the ends where it attaches to the seat screws is wider then the part riding the top of the phender. that seems to stabilize the side to side motion.

more closer up pix. just took these when i was home phor lunch. phirst ones are phrom this am when the sun was just coming up.

Seems like a nice easy option for if/when I ever decide to throw the wife on the bike.

Whiff
