On the 05 wideglide there is lots of slack buried under the seat. I just pulled mine the other day to get to the connectors to disassemble my triple trees. The tyrap is up by the neck and snip and pull.
I'm liking the tank lift, may just do it. I'll have to check my clearence to the drag bars I have installed..

What did you use to cut the sides?
If I see this right, the sides are just inverted pieces you cut out from the opposite side?

Beat the sides in with a hammer.
Thought about cutting, the 06 tanks are funny in the tunnel area at the bottom of the sides.
AND, the fuel pump is only 1 1/4 inch away from the left side.
My technique worked good.

If it weren't for the tree huggers, is this vent tube even needed.
Trees are good for peeing on, but they don't need to be very high for that.
