Default Total waste of money on new Camshaft!

I just got my bike back today and had a set of Andrews TW37B cams pout in it. Andrews website states "Hot street cams for 88 or 95 inches. 80+ rear wheel HP possible with well-tuned 88 incher, more with 95. Smooth idle, broad torque (2200-5600 RPM). 9.0 to 9.5 CR."
It feels EXACTLY the same as the stock set. I tried everything in every RPM range and it still feels totally stock. Please tell me I missed something and didnt waste $500! My brother tells me to have the heads polished? I dont want to waste any more money on this dog.

What year is your bike? What mods have you done? The TW37 cams are optimized when you mill heads and cc chambers to achieve 9.8 : 1 compression ratio.

The new cams may well be basically the same as the stock cams. The only way you will ever know what you bought is to compare the lift and duration of the new cams against the stock set.
Claims of more power and smooth idling just do not add up. Increased lift and longer duration for camshafts all come with a compromise. The greater the lift/increased horse power......the greater the trade off. No free lunches here......pg

Well, here I go again,

I am linking you to a series of posts regarding my Andrews TW37G cams install.

I went from an out of breath 60 horse engine to a 79.66 horse screamer due to my new cams. This motor does not stop making power and is only hauled back by the rev limiter. A smile a minute since cam install.

Who installed the cams? Possibly timing off on cam install?

maybe this will help.

looks to me as if you want horsepower from a harley you better have a deep pocket book. or just buy a crochrocket.

only thing i have against a harley underpowered in my opinion.

You really need to raise the compression a bit with the 37's to wake them up. You would have been better served with 26 if you wanted to stay in the Andrews line.

god forbid could they have "forgot" to put them in?

We firred this guy at my work a while back and when I looked under this work bench I noticed a bunch of spark plugs in sets of threes. When i went to the parts department and cked the part # I realized they were all out of cars that had V6 engines in them, you see this dick was only putting in the three easy plugs in and throwing the other three in his box and calling it a day!

Shaddy F**Ks every where you go!

I hope this wasnt the case![&:]
