My buddy owns the shop and he installed them, plus I have the old ones here so I dont belive thats an issue. Here is what Andrews website says "Hot street cams for 88 or 95 inches. 80+ rear wheel HP possible with well-tuned 88 incher, more with 95. Smooth idle, broad torque (2200-5600 RPM). 9.0 to 9.5 CR." If this is a 'Hot" cam they are pathetic! I am really starting to understand why so many people are buying the jap bikes with out of the box 110HP stock

Yeah, well you ought'a like it. Let's say you keep your bike for ten years and take care of it during that time. It will still be worth a lot of money. Take today's rice burner and look at it ten years from now. It probably won't even be running, and if it is, I assure you that it will not comand much of a price.
How many old metrics do you see today that can get a decent price? How many old Harleys do you see today that can get a decent price?
I would not be concerned about how fast you can make your HD. There is always someone who will be faster....count on that! Just ride what you got and enjoy it..........pg

I love the look and sound of my 4th harley but it does not go and it does not stop ( japs do)The value I get from a bike is how much I like it, not how much it is worth. I have fun on anything with 2 wheels, even a moped so monetary value dont mean anything. When I cant keep up with a 500cc bike, thats bad, especially for 20K

First, if you can't keep up with 500cc bike, something is way wrong. Second, I would think if you did the cams, you should have done the heads too. Everyone says that the TC heads have a hard time flowing enough air into the cylinders. While a new cam will help (more time to fill) I'd think doing the heads (at least polishing to improve flow) would complement the improvement and then suitable increase in fuel will create bigger boom.
btw - that's a good question - did he put the right (any?) map at all to adjust the fuel injection for the new cams? Many suggest a power commander to adjust air/fuel/timing?

Harley SE 1550 cc (95") flattop cast pistons with rings, clipsand pins are $108 a pair from Zanotti's HD. Deal of the century. Get your jugs bored for $50 a hole and use the cometic .030 head gasket. Do some flow work on the heads and now your combination WORKS and you are at or near triple didgit HP and torque.

The bad thing about picking new parts based on their specs, or how it runs in someone elses ride is that if you can't get the kids to play together nicely, you might as well be riding a liquor cycle. You can no longer replace one item and get better results. Things have to be matched, and be part of a system on the newer rides. If the cam doesn't match up with the pistons and heads, it won't work. The REAL bad thing is that once you've made one change, then it becomes a money pit trying to change out the other components to get the results you wanted in the first place.
