I use System 51 on everything (except the black engine parts) about twice a week then I hit the black parts with Pig Spit. System 51 is the best stuff I have found for keeping everything nice, clean, shiny and protected. I ride about 7,000 - 10,000 miles a year and I don't really take much joy in cleaning my bike, but I do like having it look clean, so I find keeping up with it is easier than letting it go very long.

I use Gunk engine degreaser followed by Meguiar's car wash and a water rinse about once a year, or if I ride in the rain. I also polish all the Chrome and aluminium once or twice a year.

i use a electric pressure washer. using the lesser of the sprayer wands @ about 1/2 throttle. i also raise bike up with bike/ATV lift, (to spin wheels)
1. wet bike 2. spray on S100. 3. with hand mitt, smear/wipe all tins/covers/chrome. 4. re-wet bike 5. using soft bristle brush i detail bug guts off forward facing areas. re-wettting bike as needed. 6. spray off from bottom to top and THEN top to bottom. 7. quick wipe down with free motel towels, (they give them away when ya stay there to clean your bike) and then a short ride to get water off engine/hidden areas. 8. final detail done with Lucas Slick mist for water spots then all tins and covers get a lite mist of Mothers wet spray on wax. 9. final wipe down with used/damp towels on chrome.
Alltho' this appears to be a long drawn out process, i am done, from set up to put away, in under 45 min. until i final rinse, i keep bike wet so S 100 don't spot. this is what works for me and i am lucky enuf to have a shady area for cleaning until afternoon.
