Default street bob bars

Just curious on what brand of bars most guys are running on their bobbers?

It might be cool to upgrade to a little bit more rise than the mini apes. On my '12 street bob the riser blocks are molded into the upper triple tree, so I guess a bar would have to do it if I wanted a little more height. I don't want anything too dramatic but might be cool to add a couple more inches and move a couple steps away from stock. Also want to retain the internal wiring feature that the stock bar has. Want to keep the grips below my shoulder height too for comfort.

I know its just a personal taste thing, but knowing some brands would help me in my internet search for information. Thanks!

I just had my 06 SB Mini Apes switch out of 12 inch 1.25 LA Chopper Nice Curves.

After having 12.5 inch Wild 1 Chubby bars installed on my FV the Minis just didn't look right.

Currently I have an 08 SB and I had RSD Vintage Short Stacks Black on mine and they were pretty good. After bugging 07Bobber over a couple days with a ton of emails, I now run 12" WCTBs and love them. WCTB makes T bars that will mount directly to your top clamp instead of having to swap them out. I ended up swapping mine anyways but I really didn't have to. If all you want are the names of companies that make bars, here are a few: West Coast T Bar, LA Choppers, Carlini, RSD and Wild 1. There are a ton more but those are a few. Good luck on your search because I found that picking bars was just as hard as picking my exhaust.

I am currently running 12" RSD Vintage Apes but I just ordered a set of custom bars from BR Custom bars, a minimum of 10-week wait time : ( but amazing bars!

The integrated risers limit you somewhat, as far as diameter bar goes, but they are a ton of options out there. If you want to wait ten weeks, I'll have my RSD bars for sale. lol

I ran a set of Noise Cycles Wilbars on mine when it set up more bobber-ish. I got a lot of compliments on them. I miss my bike looking like this.

How hard is it to swap bars?
With the wiring inside of them?

I have never done this on bars with wires inside

It's not too bad at all. If you have a '12 model, the new connectors on the wires are small enough to fit the the bars, thus no need to de-pin anything. All in all, I'd say it took me a full day, with breaks in between. And that was my first time ever doing that type of work.

Service manual is essential for stuff like that.
