Lots of stuff in this thread. I want to put bags onmy Street Bobfrom time to time, but most of the time I want them OFF.(I like the clean look.)Before I spend money, I would like to know ifthrow-overs be used without side brackets. Does anybody have another solution that does not add mounting hardware to the bike?

Here's mine with foxcreek leather bags. Throwover,no brackets,no ties,no problem. Had them about 3 weeks. Come in very handy and come off easily when I don't want 'em on. Sorry but still have to post links:

Will have my new Leathernecks on either tonight or tomorrow. You don't "need" supports, but it's a darn good idea. Bags got here this afternoon, still waiting on the supports I got on ebay after I ordered the bags from Leatherneck Jim. Fork bag was custom made to match the saddlebags which were made at the same time. Top quality craftsmanship. You'll like these.
