Hi,

A bit of a quality question, would you buy LED license plate bolts from Road6Customs or Custom Dynamics? Or would you recommend something entirely?

I got 'cheapos' from Ebay now that I want to replace, they are made of plastic and I found these two which look to be better.

Would you recommend one of those or another manufacturer completely?

 

They are the same thing, not many actual manufacturers of those things. Radiantz probably makes them for both.

I decided to go with Road6Customs. Got it delivered and the package has Custom Dynamics logo all over it, so I guess that answers my initial question.

The quality seems to be way over what I got now (plastic bolts with fake chrome).

 

How did you wire them up?

 

From the main harness under the seat. Piggyback on the tail light wires. Long wires and used zip ties all the way and and on the inside of the left swing arm. I have a side mounted license plate.

 

saw the horizontal license plate with LED inbuilt.
I've a layback license plate setup right now,so will I be able to use this LED license plate on my layback mount?
The electrical wiring is just plug & play?

 

I have the custom dynamics and have had them on there for 2 years with no issues. I bought a couple extra in case they went out and haven't used them yet

 

Anyone using their LED plates.,
How long do the LED last?
How is the fit & finish of the plates?
Are they plastic or metal?
I saw a seperate thread which said custom dynamics quality isn't that great.,any idea on this
