Unhappy RoadSix Lisence Plate Bracket Failure

Got woke up this morning to the cops beating on my door. Never a good sign. So I open the door to see what the f*ck I did this time. lol The officer hands me my smashed license plate still bolted to my roadsixcustoms side-mount license plate bracket and my heart dropped! Holy ****, I say. Did someone steal my scoot!?! The cop says someone found it on 7th ave and he was returning it to me, he then asked where my bike was. I told him, I hope it is still in my garage!!! So we go check and sure enough bikes still there..Wheew!! Then he starts questioning me like I had and accident and ran or something, I tell him look at the damn bike does it look like I had an accident? When you look at the bracket you can tell the metal failed and cracked around the mounting hole and the plate fell off tore the wires for the led light and bounced down the road to get ran over by a car. I couldn't believe it. Pics below....... I purchased another bracket from roadsix hoping it will be better quality, but similar brackets from JP Cycles were 150$ and up and the RoadSix was 30$ shipped lol

There is a lot of vibration at the swing arm, I custom make a side mounted bracket, cracked my license plate in 1 months. Now I made a rubber insulator, it seems to be better. Next time you ride at 2000-2500 rpm, turn your head and look at the plate, you will see how much it shakes.

Wow bro. I hope my Road6 sidemount doesn't end up like that. I just went out and looked mine over. No signs of issues but I will keep an eye on it.

My Road 6 mount cracked at one of the "speed" holes. I contacted them and they sent me another one for free right away. No issues with the new one so far.

I paid for another one to just get it shipped asap. I hope roadsix sees this post or reads the message I sent with the payment for the new one and does me right but if not oh well. Defiantly going to add some sort of rubber grommet or washer to the new one.

That sucks. I've had mine for a few year and over 10k miles and its still fine. I don't have a taillight on it though so maybe that weight diffence jacks it. Good luck with with the new one.

I made one and it broke the tap on the belt gaurd. The heavier the side mount the more chanse it will break. I also had a thick rubber in between.
